Mac versus PC (again!)

( This is an excerpt from Craig Anderton's now-defunct SSS forum )

Subj: Mac vs. IBM

From: MiDi x PrO

OK, ill get right down to the subject.......I've been hearing a lot of talk about Mac vs. the IBM. Listen, IBM has been around a lot longer then Mac, so that would make it more "out of date....right?" WRONG! Mac's may have some really expensive software like ProTools, Opcode Vision, and Turbosynth, but that doesnt make it the best. IBM's have MUCH MUCH more advanced software for digital editing and are more "up-to-date." heres the point:

FOR BEGINNERS WHO THINK THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH USING A MAC....YOUR RIGHT....BUT IF YOU WANT TO BE REAL "DIGITAL" MUSICIANS, USE AN IBM! THEY ARE MUCH MUCH BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Subj: Re:MaC vs. IBM

From: CKWORLD

Huh? I guess you might say then that I definitely don't want to become a REAL DIGITAL MUSICIAN...whatever that is....Neither would probably most of the other professional composers in Hollywood, for instance, who rely on Mac systems day in day out....I guess we'll just have to deal with being left with beginner equipment...;-)...

Please, get real! Let's try to be (or behave like) adults here and not come across at the level of, say, kids fighting over what's the coolest action figure...OK?

Yea. Especially since we all know it's the Spiderman CyberSpider, you know, the one with 6 arms.

Mac is definitly the better computer, I think. Unless it's IBM.

Anyway, one of them would come out first if you had to pick one of the two, I think. And the other would come in second, probably.

That's only because he hasn't tangled with "Share a Smile Becky". Yet.

The only way I can think that they rationalize it is that he also has two legs. 2+6=8. I thought it strange myself. But hey, let's be adult about this.

"Cyber Insect" lacks some of the pizazz of, say, "Cyber Spider" but is probably more anitomically correct.....

I agree, CyberSpider has developed a secure place in the action figure world, but with the emergence of GI Joe 95 and GI Joe NT, many new doors have opened up. Plus, they've done away with the kung fu grip and added a new "world wide cyberspider web" destroyer. Version 6.0 comes out in august.

Some CyberFly chick I think. He used his alluring, enticing, webbishly-sticky personality to attract her. But after a short fling, I think he has his eyes on Barbie next. When Joe's off on his next training mission.

Maybe he'll just send CyberDog to fetch her.

Rear wheel drive/front wheel drive.

It's not which driven wheels get you there, it's where you end up.

Go make music.
